Job Description
The Local Application Specialist is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day reliability, security, and compliance of locally managed applications while supporting the organization's application rationalization strategy. Working within the Regional IT organization, the role acts as the operational focal point for local applications, coordinating vendors, business stakeholders, and support partners to maintain stable and efficient services. The Local Application Specialist plays a key role in reducing technology complexity by supporting migration to global solutions and managing the retirement of local applications. The role also contributes to global application deployments by ensuring technical readiness, supporting adoption activities, and maintaining business continuity throughout transitions. Success is measured through service reliability, vendor performance, compliance adherence, operational efficiency, and the successful execution of application rationalization initiatives.
- Act as the primary operational contact for third-party vendors supporting local applications, driving service quality, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate incident, change, and problem management activities, ensuring effective risk management, stakeholder communication, and adherence to service management processes.
- Support security, compliance, and licensing activities by coordinating vulnerability management, access reviews, audit readiness, and corrective actions.
- Contribute to application rationalization efforts by managing application retirement activities, identifying opportunities for consolidation, and supporting migration to global platforms.
- Assist global application deployments through environment readiness, data migration support, cutover planning, user communications, and adoption activities.
- Monitor vendor performance, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and maintain effective communication with business users and market IT stakeholders.

For this role as a Local Application Specialist, we're looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in application support, application operations, or IT service delivery within a multi-vendor environment.
- Proven experience coordinating third-party vendors and driving resolution of operational incidents and service issues.
- Working knowledge of ITIL practices, service monitoring processes, and application lifecycle support.
- Strong business understanding with the ability to assess application value, support rationalization initiatives, and contribute to operational improvements.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken; experience with application migrations, rollouts, or change management activities is an advantage.
