Job Description
The Data Management & Governance Lead leads the Data Management & Governance chapter within the Data & AI function and is responsible for ensuring the company's data is trusted, governed, compliant, and ready to create business value at scale. Reporting to the Chief Data Officer, the role owns the enterprise data governance framework, data quality strategy, data catalog, and regulatory compliance across data and AI. Working closely with Data Owners, Legal, Privacy, Internal Audit, Information Security, and business leaders, this role drives the adoption of consistent data standards and governance practices across global markets. The Data Management & Governance Lead also leads the stewardship community and ensures data is documented, governed, and accessible to support enterprise decision-making and AI initiatives. Success is measured through governance adoption, data quality improvements, regulatory compliance, and the effective enablement of Data & AI across the organization.
- Lead and develop the Data Management & Governance chapter, building organizational capability and driving consistent governance practices across functions and markets.
- Own the enterprise data governance framework, policy house, governance operating model, and Data Governance Council.
- Drive data domain strategies, stewardship programs, and a common business language through enterprise data definitions, standards, and governance processes.
- Establish and continuously improve enterprise data quality frameworks, monitoring processes, scorecards, and remediation activities.
- Own and evolve the enterprise data catalog and business glossary, ensuring critical data assets are documented, governed, and discoverable.
- Translate regulatory requirements into practical controls and governance processes, covering GDPR, EU AI Act, CSRD, responsible AI practices, and compliance monitoring.

For this role as a Data Management & Governance Lead, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree and extensive experience in data management, data governance, and Data & AI compliance within a global, federated organization.
- Deep expertise in data governance frameworks and best practices, including DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM, data quality management, metadata management, and cataloging.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and risk frameworks including GDPR, EU AI Act, CSRD, NIST AI RMF, and ISO/IEC standards.
- Experience implementing governance, catalog, and data quality platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, or Informatica.
- Advanced stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence business, legal, risk, audit, and technology leaders at senior and executive levels.
- Proven ability to translate business, regulatory, and data requirements into practical governance standards, processes, and measurable outcomes.
